Rules of the South Metro Bass fin-Atics Fishing League

All Teams are responsible for knowing and fallowing the rules of the league.

1. All State fishing and boating regulations apply. Special regulations and slot limits will be noted on the lake list.


2. Two persons per team

3. Six fish limit of Largemouth or Smallmouth Bass 12 inch minimum. Fish will be measured on a golden rule. If a fish is found to be less than 12” inches the weight of that fish and the largest fish will be deducted from the teams total weight. If you have a fish that is questionable have it checked before the fish are dumped into the drain tub. If the fish are dumped into the drain tub and a short fish is found the penalty will be assessed.


4. Event results will be determined by total weight of the fish caught by each team. Ties will be decided by the teams biggest fish in that nights bag  


 5. Boats will observe a 25 yard separation 


6. This League promotes catch and release.


7. Subs are allowed with a 10.00 fee witch will be added to the year-end payouts, however one of the original team members must fish.


8. Live wells are required and will be checked prior to start time each event. No pre-caught fish allowed.


9. Late arrivals must have there live wells checked by another team prior to fishing If a team is late and does not check in with another team that team will be disqualified for that night. 


10. Artificial baits only !!


11. Official check in will be at 9:00 P.M unless otherwise noted on the lake list. A Penalty of one half pound per minute will be assessed if teams if teams are late to the official check in. If a team has mechanical trouble and cannot make it to the official check in time they Must call one of the other teams at Least 5 minutes Before the check in time with there location. At that time a boat will be sent to collect that teams fish and lend assistance to the team.


12. Each non- releasable fish will result in a deduction of 1/2 pound from the total weight.


13. If an event starts it will finish. It will then up to the individuals on the team to decide if the conditions are safe enough to continue to fish safely

 

14. Any disputes on league rules or points shall be decided by a vote of the league officials.


15. No fishing on the tournament lake from Tuesday the week of the event to the ease off of the event. Anyone caught fishing on the scheduled lake will be disqualified from that event.  No pre-fishing allowed the day of the tournament. This means no marking fish, marking spots with buoys, getting there early to run the lake and use your depth finder, etc.

16.In the event of a tie for the year end standings, total weight will determine tie breaker
